Moriah. With you for Life
Moriah Behavioral Health is proud to offer a specialized Jewish Program specifically designed to meet the unique needs of Jewish adolescents age 12-18 who are seeking treatment for complex Mood & Anxiety Disorders and Trauma. Recognizing that teens must heal Jewishly as well, we create a holistic treatment experience that embraces and respects the cultural and spiritual needs of our Jewish clients. Kosher food and amenities, Jewish therapists, rabbinical counseling, Shabbos & Yom Tov, provide a safe space for recovery.
We welcome individuals along the entire spectrum of religious observance, allowing each person to grow in healing at their own pace and comfort level. Judaism is never forced, but always available.
Our Jewish program staff, consisting of a program director, rabbis & rebbetzins, and Jewish therapists, integrate as a supplement to the broader treatment team, working together with each client, their family, therapists, and treatment staff throughout their stay, and beyond. Moriah’s clinicians and staff are trained to understand and explore how Jewish identity, experiences, beliefs and practices can impact the health and wellbeing of those struggling with mental health and trauma. We work to create an inclusive and supportive space where clients can openly discuss their struggles and seek help without fear of judgment or misunderstanding.
Evidence-Based Care
Since 2018 Moriah Behavioral Health, has been providing evidence-based clinical care and specialized treatment for adolescents, ages 12-18, struggling with mood and anxiety disorders. We employ a wraparound care model including an array of clinical, complementary & experiential modalities, ensuring that clients receive support across all areas of their lives, including mental health, behaviors, relationships, addiction, dietary & nutritional, and overall well-being. Our programs are led by an experienced team of psychiatrists, licensed therapists, trauma specialists, drug & alcohol counselors, nutritionists & dieticians who assess, review and understand each client’s unique needs and case history and create a personalized treatment plan for him or her.
Combining evidence-based clinical care, a holistic approach that considers the psychological, social, emotional, and physical aspects of treatment, with compassionate and client-centered focus, our goal is to empower individuals, build resilience, and achieve positive, long-term outcomes. Through therapies like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), IFS, trauma-work, mindfulness-based techniques, and others, we support our clients on their path to recovery.
Kosher & Gender-Specific Residential Treatment Centers
To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our clients, we offer separate gender-specific residential treatment centers as part of our Jewish Program. This creates an environment that aligns both religiously and therapeutically, recognizing the unique needs and dynamics of male and female adolescents, and providing a safe space where they can focus on their recovery and engage in gender-specific therapeutic interventions. All meals served within the Jewish program are under the kosher supervision of the local Orthodox Rabbinate.
The Personal Touch
At Moriah, Jewish teens enjoy the support of multiple Rabbis & Rebbitzins who offer warmth, support, guidance and positivity. With weekly visits and visitation both on-site and offsite, personal connection is an integral part of treatment. Rabbis are integrated into the program and are able to participate in therapeutic sessions and work directly with the treatment team. Our clients are never pressured to conform to any particular religious standards.
Rabbi Levi and Mrs. Nechama Harlig
Rabbi Levi and Mrs. Nechema Harlig are part of Chabad of Southern Nevada. The Harlig family provides spiritual support and education for clients within our Jewish treatment track, as well as close guidance, support, and comfort for their families.
Rabbi Mendel and Mrs. Jacobs
Rabbi Mendel and Mrs. Yasmine Jacobs live in Las Vegas, within walking distance to a few of our facilities. Rabbi Mendel and Yasmine have years of experience working in residential treatment and provide our Jewish clients with support in their spiritual journeys alongside their clinical recovery.

Testimonials
“It’s not an easy decision to send your child away anywhere, let alone a residential program you hope is the answer to help your child work through their struggles and addiction. When I finally knew that this is the step I had to take and had no other choice, I looked into a few residential programs but immediately knew that Moriah was the right place for my daughter. I always felt that everyone at Moriah had the best interest of my daughter at the forefront of her care while also feeling supported through the entire process. I always had someone I could talk to about her progress or if I had any concerns. The entire staff was always very attentive, patient and responsive. They were sensitive to all of her needs – mentally, physically, academically, culturally and spiritually. Our connection to Moriah did not end when I brought her home. I still reach out to the Moriah staff for advice and I am always able to join their alumni calls they have weekly to get parent support from those who share the same struggles. Their support and care for both me and my daughter reaches beyond the treatment program itself and there is no place I would trust more to care for my daughter than Moriah.”
“Our daughter came to Moriah but she was not ready to go through yet another intense residential treatment. The staff drew her in with loads of patience. Her therapist went out of her way to find the right modality to help her start healing.
The two rabbinic families, who are constantly in contact with the patients at Moriah, gave our daughter tremendous emotional support and an opening to a Judaism that touched her heart.”
